Too many of y'all confuse "young women like shopping and spending time at X" with "X is a designated safe space meant for young women." This is not true. VS is a for-profit and adult brand that the paying public has the right to use. This is nothing like the roommate situation.
I worked on Agatha All Along as one of the witches Agatha killed during her montage and when I was in hair and makeup , Jac came into the trailer as I was getting my tattoos covered and THANKED ME, a random person who she doesn’t know from Adam, for being on her project and just chatted for a bit about the project (without giving me too many spoilers bc duh lol) and Marvel itself.. For the rest of that day, in between takes (whenever I could see her), I saw Jac work with SUCH conviction, joy, and passion. Same for everyone else on crew that night in that woods.
My point is, Jac Schaeffer is a one of kind type of talent. She’s real, she’s passionate, she is genuine.
Stop dismissing people and their work before they’ve even had an opportunity to show you what they are capable of. WandaVision and Agatha All Along were nothing short of Phenomenal under Jac and I’m honored to have been part of that. And I know that she’s going to drop some jaws and shut some of this noise up in her new project. Wishing her nothing but the best ✨❤️
I legitimately think most people think you're irresponsible if you don't manage to cure yourself with schedules and lists and alarms and whatnot. Like people really do think it's some kind of personality defect.
Black pride grew out of a fight against oppression. White pride became a slogan used by people fighting to preserve racial dominance. History isn't complicated unless you're determined to ignore it.
They insist we have no culture while staying obsessed with defining, debating, consuming, and commenting on it. Black American dick all down your throat clear across the map.
it’s always Beyoncé’s most dated, worst album, worst song, worst anything… I barely see tweets from her own fans uplifting her work. It’s always choosing the negative side of trends too. Just an observation.
“They say true love’s the greatest weapon. True love brought salvation back into me. With every tear came redemption and my torturer became my remedy.”
The message is love saving the day and the real life journey back to forgiveness after betrayal.
That’s what you hate?
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.
It's demanded that you read concepts like "Free Palestine" or "From the river to the sea" as inherently exterminationist, but unquestioningly allow an actual, ongoing ethnosupremacist project to be obfuscated as "self-determination"
the entire point of identification is to help you understand yourself and to find IRL community and whatever works for you is the Right way to identify. don't let 22 year olds with no social life convince you that this rigid taxonomy matters in queer life.
Actually I think it’s Completely Normal and Human to feel like this. If it’s a thought that takes over your life and thinking patterns, then yes it’s a problem. But we all desire to be loved and wanted. This is a basic feature of everyone’s psychology.
When that situationship conversation came up a while ago and I said women should communicate their wants and expectations with men to make sure they’re on the same page and some women were like, “if you have to ask, there’s nothing there; take it as a sign.”
Okay, but you’re already there letting him call all the shots. How about seek the clarity you need and bounce if it’s not what you want. What if he’s also unsure about you wanting a future with him and anxious about getting rejected? Why must he be the one to lead the conversation and steer every direction if you’re both equally in it? “It’s societal conditioning.” Sure. But you’re already fucking a man who isn’t really your man - is that one societal conditioning too?
