To establish the earliest human bloodlines, the Book of Genesis traces a direct family tree starting from the first humans, Adam and Eve, who had a son named Cain, who had a son named Enoch.
The Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, introduces the concept that humanity was created with free will, meaning that the ability to worship or reject God is what provides our lives with meaning.
A meaningful relationship with god is not forced upon us, it is up to us.
Genesis and Exodus are the first two books of the Hebrew Bible and Old Testament
Genesis tells us about the creation of the world and the covenant between God and the Israelites
Exodus tells us about the enslavement of the Israelites, their liberation, and the Ten Commandments.
The Bible is divided into two main parts.
One is the Old Testament (which is the Hebrew Bible), and the other is the New Testament (the works that tell us about the life of Jesus Christ and the early days of the Church)
