In my alternative provisions school I am currently leading on psychology for our GCSE and A Level students…

Do any teachers have any advice or guidance to help a non-specialist with a passion for psychology? Looking for some stellar resources!

Today was my last day on placement as a trainee teacher - PGCE✅

The last 2 days have been hectic since we had some special visitors (Ofsted)

A very strange end to a very crazy year!

Looking forward to starting at my new school in July as a History&Politics teacher

In 1948, 1,027 passengers disembarked from, HMT Empire Windrush, at Tilbury Dock, after a voyage from Jamaica.
The story of this ship & its #WindrushGeneration - now so iconic in British culture & society - begins not in 1948, but in Hamburg in 1930⬇️.

Over the last two decades, more school-age children have died from guns than on-duty police officers and active duty military combined.

Think about that.

Congress, the time to pass stronger gun safety reforms is now.

[BUCHANAN: Dublin Time Machine @RobLooseCannon]

The legendary origin of the phrase "chancing your arm" came from Dublin in 1492. The Butlers of Ormonde and the FitzGeralds of Kildare were involved in a violent land feud. The Butlers retreated to the sanctuary of St Patrick's Cathedral, with the FitzGeralds in hot pursuit.

This question on 2023 SATS paper is clearly wrong @educationgovuk You cannot put a square number on the line. You’ve obviously realised this so have put an option in the mark scheme whereby children can cross out a part of the question. Every child deserves compensatory mark.

Pat Cullen, "The Conservative government have won their legal battle today, but they've lost nursing and they've lost the public. What an indictment on this government."

Hands up if you still support the nurses 🙋‍♂️

I am teaching history and politics and these are my ideas for displays so far…

Any advice on good resources/designs?
Would love to see yours!

Labour will protect our border security and fix the asylum chaos.

Labour has voted for:

- A new cross-border police unit to tackle gangs
- A new deal with Europe on returns and controlled legal routes
- Consultation with local councils on local asylum accommodation and hotels
- The removal and return of terror suspects
- Fast-tracked decisions and returns to safe countries
- Safe legal routes for children with family in UK

Rishi Sunak's Tories have voted against all of this.

Tonight 283 Conservative MPs voted to BLOCK the Sewage Discharge Bill, which would have cracked down on polluting water companies. 🟦

This is a new low for Conservative MPs who simply don’t care about the sewage crisis. ❌🦦
