@LukaszukAB@BrianJeanAB@LacLaBicheCo Imagine living in rural Alberta. Needing ER care. Showing up. And being told only Nurses are available to treat you. This is what rural Albertans voted for. They'll say they did not. But in fact they did with their vote for a party that is disdainful of any HCW.
I used to be a swing-voter when the political landscape wasn’t charred by insanity.
Yet The “New Conservative” Movement has an interesting array of leaders:
@PremierScottMoe has a minibar in his car, and isn’t apologetic about killing people with it.
@ABDanielleSmith vision of Canada is a post-truth dystopia, catered by Guy Fieri.
@fordnation was an actual hash dealer, and his corrupt premiership is his pension.
….and @PierrePoilievre, a man who embodies every single loathsome characteristic imaginable, packaged in a bottle of mayonnaise.
I’m done with them.
.@AbDanielleSmith did you really appoint Lyle Oberg to reform our Alberta’s healthcare? The Oberg that opened a private, for the reach & famous resort hospital in Vietnam, and poached Alberta doctors to work there, creating surgery backlog here?

In my time in Ab, I have seen con gov centralize, then decentralize, centralize, then decentralize health care. They have fired boards & mgmt & hired consultants, which they then fired. They are clueless about many things, but particularly about health care. #RecallTheUCP#abpoli
I asked the Minister of Energy and Minerals today if he truly understands all the risks of mining the Eastern slopes.
When faced with the reality that these projects compromise water security, impede grizzly bear grazing patterns and threaten endangered trout he talks about BC.
Bottom line - this is an attempt to concentrate control of healthcare in the Premier’s Office.
But what it will do is cause catastrophic chaos in our clinics, our hospitals, and for all Albertans.
I do not understand Albertan ignorance

Get this through your heads
You are contributing to CPP as individuals
Your Prov doesn't receive CPP benefits.. YOU DO
A worker in BC ,for example, earning the exact same income contributes the exact same amount as an Albertan to CPP
My first Question Period--holding the UCP government accountable for their diastrous decision to contract out lab services.
What is the Health Minister doing to rebuild trust in our labs? Will the Minister apologize to Albertans for jeopardizing their health and wasting their time? And will the Minister promise that labs will remain public?
