@Imnothin1@teamubuu@devourkup In the Old Testament, the word "satan" is not a name for an evil devil. It’s just a title that means “the adversary” or “the accuser” — like an opponent or someone who challenges others.
Only later in the New Testament does “Satan” become the name for the big bad enemy of God.
@Imnothin1@teamubuu@devourkup They chose "Satan" because of its root meaning. In Hebrew, "Ha-Satan" means "the Adversary" or "the Accuser" an opposing force, not pure evil. LaVeyan Satanism uses it as the symbol of rebellion against authority (ex: Christianity). It's provocative by design, unlike anarchism.
@teamubuu@devourkup fake satanist.
Most people hear it and instantly think "devil worship and pure evil" because that's what Christianity drilled into Western culture for centuries. Satanism doesn't believe in a literal Satan or promote evil —it uses Satan as a **symbol of rebellion, pride,freedom
