Dear Apple: macOS sorely needs a bugfix release.

10.1 and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) were the two best releases of OS X.

We need another no-features release, not just one week of bugfixing.

Hardware is way ahead of software right now.

Over the past couple of months I’ve been pushing myself to use rootless podman + quadlet for every self-hosted container that I’ve needed to run. Getting pretty confident with it and looking forward to ditch docker completely from my homelab.

@vlntnrthbrg Thanks! Nothing major. One minor inconvenience is always having to go through copying files, daemon-reloading and manually restarting the service when quickly iterating/testing with a new service (scripted that already) but other than that everything’s very smooth and solid.

@ClassicII_MrMac I've been monitoring all of my machines for a while now and here's an example from MacBookPro18,1. Interestingly the max capacity is larger than design capacity for the first couple of months.

@almenscorner Haven’t used @MacStadium myself but they’re the OG of colocated Apple hardware. I think US based #macadmins might have more experience with their offering but I see they now have a data center in Europe too. Post your impressions if you decide to try them out!
