AQState predicts what a GPCR compound does once it binds, including whether it acts as an agonist or antagonist, before any lab work begins.
In a retrospective benchmark, AQState combined with AQ-MLFF, SandboxAQ's latest physics-informed ML breakthrough, missed 4 of 24 agonists compared to 7 of 24 with the prior method, a 43% reduction in misclassified agonists, while improving overall classification accuracy by 6.8%. For programs where agonism is the target pharmacology, those three recovered candidates represent compounds that would otherwise have advanced with the wrong pharmacology and failed later at greater cost.
The platform also showed strong early performance on GLP-1R, a peptide-receptor system where molecular size and flexibility make computational modeling significantly harder than standard Class A GPCRs.

Ethan Pratt, Head of Engineering at SandboxAQ’s AQMed division, joins Tai-Danae Bradley for a conversation about building cutting-edge cardiac diagnostic technologies for the dynamic and chaotic reality of today's modern emergency room.
In this episode, Ethan explains AQMed’s work on magnetocardiography (MCG), a technique designed to capture the heart’s magnetic signals and help address one of medicine’s toughest everyday challenges: evaluating chest-pain patients in the ER’s diagnostic “gray zone.” He shares why the team has focused so intensely on real hospital workflows, how an “algorithmic shield” helps separate the heart’s signal from ambient magnetic noise, and why getting prototypes into real clinical settings matters more than waiting for perfection in the lab.
Along the way, he reflects on math anxiety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the guiding principle that has shaped both his career and his leadership style: start with what you know. Watch the full episode: https://t.co/n113NC5BEt
SandboxAQ Essential Concepts - From Bits to Qubits
What if the biggest difference between a classical computer and a quantum computer comes down to one simple idea?
A classical bit has to be one thing at a time: 0 or 1.
A qubit is different. Instead of being limited to a single state, it can exist as a combination of both, a property known as superposition.
We created this visual to show the shift from a binary choice to a quantum state. That is what gives quantum computing its extraordinary potential.
If you've ever wondered what actually makes a qubit different from a bit, this is a great reference.
@Carra23 Delusional - and this from a Liverpool fan with a “we all dream of a team of Carraghers…” shirt and was in Taksim square until 8AM the following day 😉
Update from the reflecting pool! The pool has been drained, and there are no signs of the giant gash that Donald Trump has been lying about. No indications of major vandalism. Just a bad paint job. The only thing that’s been exposed is that Trump has been lying about this.
“The vehicle attempted to flee the scene and, fearing for public safety, an officer discharged his weapon.”
Fleeing. The vehicle was driving away.
That’s murder. A legal resident of the United States is now dead.
The threat to public safety is ICE.
It must be eliminated.
@nikesharora@mcuban I 100% do believe, however, that someone like Starbucks needs to have a very strong team of people who live and breathe these problems daily for the benefit of understanding and mitigating those very same risks that arise from whatever path they do take. AI is NEVER going away
@nikesharora@mcuban Much like the adage “never roll your own crypto”, I would suggest great care in believing you can roll your own AI and understanding the attack surfaces, ROI, and integration opportunities - much less an effective SDLC 🫤.
Oh, hey, Ken Paxton committed election fraud.
Which if true, begs the question if his nomination form used the right address.
Because if not, he would not be eligible to be on the ballot in Texas.
I spoke to McConnell for about 20 minutes this morning.
He said we should end the war with Iran, quit giving aid to Israel, stop spying on Americans without a warrant, and he’s really sorry about how my primary turned out.
