@PhilipSteart@pa_StephenNash No idea, I didn't fill it in so I couldn't say. Whilst I think it's probably fair to say the majority of PAs have been troubled by events over the past few years, I wouldn't like to speak on behalf of them!
@pa_StephenNash@PhilipSteart 26% of PAs that answered the survey, plenty didn't fill it in. Same arguement I would use towards doctors claiming a large % of doctors think xyz about PAs when a small % filled in the survey.
It's likely that those that filled in the survey were the most concerned individuals
@parthaskar@DrJoFranklin@NHSEngland@NHSE_WTE Thank you. Stressful enough not knowing what my job will look like or if I will have one when I get back from maternity leave, so trying not to think about it too much until I have to!
@DrJoFranklin@parthaskar@NHSEngland@NHSE_WTE I was pregnant and stopped looking at Twitter because I didn't need the added stress! I now have a four month old and three year old, so not much time for staring at a phone these days ๐
Feel so sorry for my 3 year old daughter, already set up for a life of disappointment...
"Do my clothes have pockets, Mummy?"
Inevitably the answer to that will usually be no ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
It's been a great few months since my husband and I started our little animal rescue. Since September we've:
Rescued 7 animals
Sterilised 114 animals
Given out 50 doses of Bravecto
Served 5,300+ meals
Given out 124 rabies vaccines and 50 combo vaccines
@ponteepon How are you meant to work independently? You can't possibly be suggesting you can work at the level of a consultant? PAs should have to answer for their own decision-making, but they care for patients under a consultant, with supervision
@Burnt2020 I think there are a lot of PAs with no idea where to turn right now. I think some will be joining UMAPs out of sheer desperation at this point ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Good Lord everyone ๐ณ Do you think that maybe individuals on both sides of this utter shit show could possibly just calm down and stop being so inflammatory.
Most sensible voices are now just taking a step back from the whole debate because of the toxicity on both sides
@Burnt2020 There's far too many cooks in the kitchen already, groups sprinting up all over the place. The best thing would be for the FPA to hold elections of a sort for the new board of this APA I think ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ but I'm not sure I see that happening.
Other than it taking a while for someone to answer initially, it was pretty efficient on this occasion! The worst bit was trying to decide if she needed seen or I was sleep deprived and over-reacting ๐
Got to see the NHS working properly from the other side last night. Called NHS24 about my little one, got given an OOH appt for 45mins later, seen pretty much when we got there and sent off with antibiotics and steroids.
@IncogAssociate @GMB There have obviously been failures and lessons to be learned - be that to do with appropriate supervision, or whether PAs should see unplanned return patients and so on.
We'd be doing so much better if we could say we are learning from failures than pointing fingers elsewhere.
@IncogAssociate @GMB You share this point of view all the time and you always get the same replies. You always say you have years of experience. So do I. And we both know that a PE should not be missed in a patient seen twice c/o leg pain and SOB.
