I simply cannot imagine the feeling of being a just a few hours away from being killed by the state, then hearing the news that your sentence has been commuted. Grateful that Julius Jones gets to live & hopeful that one day we don’t see life in prison as a legitimate alternative.
This rain #garden we planted is now 1 year old. Captures and infiltrates 4,000 gallons of water from the parking lot during a 1inch rainfall. Has over 2,700 native plants and is full of monarchs in Aug/Sept! At the Woolen Mill in Faribault, MN, right off I-35: @faribaultmill

• book sales are up this year over last year
• sales of physical books have grown every year since 2013
• indie bookstores have increased by 35 percent in the past decade
reading isn’t dying, it’s *thriving.* happy new year.
