@seandsweeney It's more like look at Tarrytown v Montopolis v Barton Hills or it could even be Zilker v Barton Hills v Bouldin. (3 adjacent hoods) Hyper local for sure.
@NewsLambert@ResidentialClub@ICEMortgageTech I had over $10m in resi specs on the ground in Austin in '22. I felt the market shift immediately after the first rate hike in Q1 of 2022 and aggressively started selling everything. Def when the bubble was pricked. If you kept buying in '22 you made a bad decision.
@atxREpodcast Have you asked the city when was the last time there was a wildfire in the proposed expansion zone? They are adding these requirements to “solve” for a prob that doesn’t exist
@shawngorham Sounds like most people assume it’s an easy business. It’s not. I would caution against lending your money if you don’t know what you’re doing.
The Austin whiplash continues.
What sky rockets up, must come down.
ATX down 20% from peak… this is why the monthly foreclosure list is full of speculators LLCs.
Many bought on the assumption of continued meteoric growth, but received a whiplash.
