📣 We will be transitioning to a new website architecture on May 20, 2025. We will not be running a parallel system, so you may have to make a few changes, especially if you are using the API.
HMMER has migrated to Bluesky 🦋! Follow us at our new home for the latest updates and news. Our X/Twitter account will remain as an archive, but all future announcements will be posted on Bluesky. Join us there! 🧬🔍
We've experienced a major incident at one of our data centres leading to many of our internal services (e.g. email, clusters) being shutdown. Most of our public services are operating as normal, but some data submission services may be impacted. More details to follow.

@KVittingSeerup@GencodeGenes No threshold will suit everyone and we apologise for the impact in this case. We will, however, continue to monitor these service limits and look for ways to permit longer queries. 2/2
@KVittingSeerup@GencodeGenes We set a limit on length of submitted seq, and a max search time, for performance and stability reasons. Recently we had to revise this as we noticed increased instances of searches taking too long to complete. Previous limit was set when sequence databases were much smaller. 1/2
