I am living in the one party State of Washington. For 15 years I’ve been patient with the Democrats in leadership as conditions in the city have deteriorated. What do I receive? Suffering all around.

Silence from our leaders when asking for more urgent solutions to relieve the suffering of those addicted to fentanyl and the severely mentally ill wandering our streets. Silence when asking for more urgent solutions to relieve the suffering of every business, citizen and visitor of Seattle.

I’ve been a dedicated meditation practitioner for over 29 years. My first meditation teacher told me that to free ourselves from suffering and to increase our compassion for others we must see cause and effect. I have learned to see cause and effect clearly.

In 2024 every Seattle city neighborhood is experiencing the effects of an epidemic.

The cause is lack of law enforcement and lack of medical care for the severely addicted and mentally ill. Lack of respect for our law enforcement who put their lives on the line to protect and serve. Lack of consequences for crime from open air drug use to shoplifting. Lack of long term hospital facilities for fentanyl addicts or the severely mentally ill. Lack of new laws to address addiction and mental illness.

The effects? The severely addicted and mentally ill have become more aggressive and dangerous by the day, when given permission to do whatever they want, wherever they want. Businesses and neighborhoods that hard working people have built over many generations are being destroyed. Thousands are dead from overdose. Thousands have just given up and left the city and the state.

I have found the candidates whose values align with mine. Safe cities that support free enterprise, free speech, and solving the fentanyl and severely mentally ill epidemic are the values held and the values being talked about, to my surprise, by the republicans. I am relieved and inspired to have candidates speaking about real and immediate solutions to the problems that affect me and our city everyday. This is not about perfection. I will vote for candidates that will ensure American rights and freedoms. @votetanyawoo @weheartfounder @SerranoforAG @reichert4gov @GarciaForWA @RobertKennedyJr @TulsiGabbard @JDVance @realDonaldTrump

I know that telling people publicly that I am voting Republican is going to bring disdain from some, but it won’t stop me. I know many agree with me silently but are afraid to come out publicly. The most extreme Democrats in this city have been known to try to intimidate and call out as evil anyone who even questions, let alone disagrees with their “let them die in the gutter” philosophy.

To those who disagree with me, that’s ok. No matter what the extremists in my city say, In America, we can disagree with each other, respect each other’s right to our own opinion, and still work and live side by side.
