One of the reasons I truly love the banjo is because it harkens back to much simpler times, when all you needed to make music was a set of picks, a candle or two, 120 volts of electricity & a cathode biased tube amplifier with racing stripes.

@owlice@MarcAndreHam This looks like what we call a “lap harp.” Not traditionally a Russian instrument but yours probably just happens to be made there. A few companies make song cards you can slide under the strings. The ones we sell are tuned to a G major scale.
Starts this Monday! Register to grab a spot.

@ales_frost @Square @SQSupport Update: Square has now released the hold on our deposits, but we still haven’t gotten an explanation of why this happened.
We loved @Square as our cc processor until today - acct suspended with zero notice, @SQSupport would not give reason over phone, said we'd hear in 3-5 biz days, rep hung up on us. Unacceptable!
@NotClaudeRains @micasaessucas11 The mighty hurdy gurdy! We only sell them on a used basis - none in the store at the moment but we do get them from time to time.
The good folkin' folks at House of Musical Traditions [@hmtrad] are donating a portion of proceeds from today's sales to @tabletochki to help child cancer patients in Ukraine.
