In the coming days there's gonna be a lot of opining about what the Harris campaign did wrong, but this election was not an indictment of Kamala Harris. It was an indictment of America.
So it wasn't the economy, it wasn't revitalizing manufacturing, it wasn't wages, it wasn't jobs, it wasn't the stock market, it wasn't health care.
It was hatred.
That's what did it.
For the first time in history, the United States has a sitting congressperson who is transgender.
Congratulations to Sarah McBride, whose race was just called by MSNBC.
She wins in a year where a historic amount of anti-trans ads were blared across TV screens in America.
Even if Harris wins, a reminder that it should never have been this close. And we will need to reckon with the fact that half the country voted for fascism for a long time.
Reminder: most states have the highest populations in urban centers and those reports usually come in later. Pls stop doomsdaying and act like you were awake in 2020.
Folks. We've been through this before. Every recent election night 8pm to 10pm are a Democratic panic attack, and then the votes flood in and we have a better picture of where we are. Sit tight.
I just brought my kids to go vote! Proud for them to see their dad’s name on the ballot for US Senator. My parents immigrated to America 50 yrs ago and today I could become the first ever Korean American Senator in history. Thank you everyone for staying in line to vote!
