Did you know that the winner in some endurance horse races 🐴 is determined not only by their time across the line, but also how quickly they recover?
- What is their pulse rate an hour after the event?
- How much "spring" do they have left in their gait? Are they willing to trot?
Points are awarded for each, i.e. the quicker the pulse comes down the more points the athlete/horse gets.
I propose we do the same for #Ironman 😊
I had a guy friend with a Ph.D in engineering ask me last week how women pee with a tampon in and this is why men shouldn’t be passing laws about women’s bodies.
@Alan_Couzens Curious what data you are putting into your model. Independent variables are "hours at Zone"? Is this looking at 1 athlete and 2 different VO2 tests? Are you taking "hours" per week or in total? Is the VO2 the total or the delta?
I don't disagree with the tweet, just wonder...
Eliud Kipchoge is the greatest of all time... in ANY sport.
His domination in a major sport in the modern era is unprecedented.
Over 17 marathons and 8 years, he's only lost two.
Double Olympic Champion. World Record. Broke an insane barrier (sub 2 hours).
