Thank you @petri_rinne for inviting me to speak about international exchange and cooperation with the Finnish ministers group this morning. It was an honor to meet with partners in rural sustainable design and to expand my connection to #LEADER programs in Finland.
What a way to start a Friday! Just had the most wonderful conversation with SEDAK about workshops in solar micro-grid technologies and immediate needs for our community in weatherization and ecological accounting analysis for new projects. So much sustainability work to do.
Just had a request to submit our case study to a leading media asset manager journal next February. Very exciting to see this conversation gaining traction and building on some unexpected findings.
Just had an invitation to speak to the Finnish National Rural Network Ministry in January. I look forward to discussing creating international exchange and cooperation beyond the EU with this group.
Looking forward to seeing new folks at #amia2022 next week in Pittsburgh. Our Panel is on Friday where we will examine a case study of a media production archive and the conscious and unconscious sustainability features developed by their team out of necessity and by design.
Now live! The 7th & final installment of our series on activism from academia to the profession. Can #design activism be a radically democratic & inclusive practice across generations? #designjustice, #decolonization, #climatecrisis, #housingjustice. https://t.co/C4ttbq33Dq

Thank you #NTTW6 for posting the first day presentations. What a wonderfully urgent discussion this conference brings to our varied but interconnected fields of practice. https://t.co/rgGLxfbzpi

What a week! My collaborators and I are excited to present at #AMIA in Pittsburgh. We will be in dialogue as a panel examing effects of institutional inventory control and subscription software on energy consumption, and e-waste mitigation in a production archive.
Very excited to have our talk on sustainability in production media archives accepted into the No Time to Wait conference in the Hague, Netherlands at the end of October.
Talking as much as I can about collective benefit, creating then and bringing people into opportunities.
Sometimes, giving folks a platform means they leave for new amazing things. My friend pointed out, this isn't a problem. If we did this right they brought more people in too.
Today I began my new role as Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Design program in the College of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
I look forward to the good work students & colleagues will do in these next years.
