While I agree that Bear truly is the villain, this, in my opinion, is a bit of a stretch. If you remember, Bear didn't make the connection about this being a result of the wish for a long time. It took him a while to realize. So here's this guy who all the sudden has the girl of his dreams, everything's going great until suddenly it isn't. Even though us as the audience knew something was up, Bear wanted so much for his fairytale to be true that he went to great lengths to convince him and everyone around him that everything was fine until he no longer could ignore the fact that this situation was messed up and he was the one who messed it up. When he takes Nikki to the hospital, he still didn't realize that this was a result of the wish. He honestly thought she might be on Molly again. Now did he actually take her to the hospital or just tell everyone he did? Idk. I think he did honestly care about her, he just sucks at showing it in a way that's not toxic, so I personally think he did actually take her and the hospital couldn't do anything because obviously drugs weren't in her system. At that point in the movie, she hadn't done anything that showed she was at risk of harming herself and others. Yes, the cat sandwich, but Bear didn't keep the sandwich, and the only other proof would have been the note Nikki had that written on.

Anyway, my two cents. Bear was horrible, but I do think there were times he at least tried to be decent before he messed it up again. Doesn't make him a good person, I'm just saying. #Obsession
