Bigger doesn’t always mean better in the animal kingdom—just ask Gaia, the 8-month-old black-footed cat who recently arrived at Utah’s @HogleZoo. https://t.co/mHQRt8i3DL
I hope every woman ends up with someone who spoils her; but especially first born daughters. You give so much to everyone else… May you find yourself with someone who gives a lot to you ♥️
Highly sensitive people are not fooled by words or appearances. They feel bad energy, bullshit, weird vibes, and sneaky shit. They feel subtle changes in your energy, tone of voice, facial expressions, and body language. They usually respond to your energy rather than your words.
You stop draining yourself when you decide if someone doesn't tell you about their problems with you, then there is no problem because you're not a mind reader and you're too tired to play the guessing game. It's on them when they don't communicate like emotionally mature adults.
You aren't lost, you're just in an uncomfortable stage of your life where you old self is gone, but your new self isn't fully born yet. You're in the midst of transformation. This is the sign that everything is working out in your favor. You're next in the line for blessings.
You deserve someone who calms your nervous system and makes you feel safe so you can drop your armor, be vulnerable, and freely share your thoughts, feelings, needs, and insecurities through their acceptance, understanding, support, encouragement, and love.
depression isn’t always looking and feeling sad. sometimes it’s lack of motivation, excessive sleeping, poor eating habits, unexplainable anger/easily annoyed, low self-esteem, no strive to do things you normally do.
If you're not sure, don't do it. If you don't want to, don't do it. If you're not ready, don't do it. If your body says no, listen to it. If it feels bad, fake, forced, off, uncomfortable, weird, or wrong, disconnect and leave. Maturity is saying "no" without explaining yourself.
Living in private, dating in private, making money in private, healing in private, unlearning in private, letting go in private, regulating emotions in private, managing insecurities in private, breaking toxic patterns in private, and growing in private is top tier self-care.
Being in a healthy relationship truly taught me there is no such thing as "that's just the way I am". When you genuinely love someone you work on those toxic traits, you learn to communicate, you actively listen to each others thoughts and feelings – you grow and heal together.
Nobody is coming to save you.
Not your friends. Not your family. Not the government
They can offer advice and tools.
But at the end of the day, it's up to you to change your mind and act regardless of how you feel.
A thread of advice you need to hear:
Normalize not forcing people to choose you. Let people do what they want so you can see what they'd rather do. If they think they can find better elsewhere – let them. Respectfully.
No one is too busy for the person they love. If they don't call, text, or message, don't chase them, mind your own business, and leave them alone because their lack of effort is their lack of interest & no message is a message. Prioritizing people who prioritize you is self-care.
