@6ranges@FENTYAMADA No matter how closeted he would've been, that man did not have a lick of privacy left by the end of his life and especially after. We would absolutely know his whole business, right or wrong.
@6ranges@FENTYAMADA Exactly! I appreciate your understanding. I would never condone speculating on his real life sexuality, as it's tacky and unfounded. I believe if he was into men at all that the evidence would be roughly equal to that of his attraction to women, which it clearly isn't.
don’t get me wrong…thriller is by far THE most impactful music video in music history but ghosts was michael’s masterpiece in terms of choreography, concept and short film
@6ranges@FENTYAMADA a hypersexualized or degrading way. I realize it's probably best to just not go there at all or to focus on similar artists who are queer irl, but I find the idea captivating.
@6ranges@FENTYAMADA This might be a dumb question, but when it comes to fiction how do you feel about it approached as a thought experiment separate from reality? I personally like contemplating what might've transpired differently in his life if he was queer because of the many facets, but not in
Dolly was allowed to have a larger-than-life public persona while still keeping her actual life private. Her husband stayed out of the spotlight, her marriage remained largely theirs, and her philanthropy is rightfully remembered as genuine. Michael kept most of his dating life private too, yet that privacy was constantly treated as strange, suspicious, or proof that something was ‘wrong’ with him. Even his marriage was called a publicity stunt, and documented charitable acts were sometimes treated like PR. It’s funny how similar choices are perceived depending on who does them.
@ptolemaeq When you say he was a victim of SA are you referring to the forced strip search? Because I do absolutely believe that that was how it felt to him, and it infuriates me how the prosecution conspired to lie about and cover up the results since they weren't in their favor.
this is after talking ab how he never got to have a childhood, therefore never got to experience going to zoos or amusement parks etc. he was one of the most famous ppl in the world from childhood through adulthood, so he just built everything he needed.
me before the community fact check: wow that's crazy, did all those new yorkers slip and fall on a big banana peel or something? wow
me after the community fact check: what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck
