Imagine going through life knowing that almost anything connected to you could be stolen, leaked, sold, or turned into somebody else’s payday. Your medical information, your trash, private footage, personal conversations, stories about your life. How are you supposed to freely trust new people when fame has made access to you valuable?
That’s also why I can understand Michael holding tightly to certain longtime relationships. Bringing new people into your life means giving more people access to private information about you, and with that comes another opportunity for something to be twisted, leaked, or sold. I’m not saying that was definitively Michael’s reasoning every time, but considering the environment he lived in, it’s not hard to understand why trust could become extremely difficult. Sometimes it feels like the people who genuinely cared about him were the ones we know the least about, because they actually respected his privacy.
Why the fuck do the 8 Data Centers in Gary, Indiana have power, and have remained fully powered, when the residents have gone without power and water for the past 12 days???
✋️I know! I know.
BECAUSE DATA CENTERS ACROSS AMERICA ARE OWNED AND OPERATED BY PRIVATE CORPORATIONS.
The fact that powerful people can protect predators while victims are left carrying the damage is fucking sickening. What’s described in the Epstein files is enough to turn your stomach, things most people couldn’t fathom in a million years. And somehow, people connected to horrific acts still get to live their lives with little to no accountability. What a fucking country to live in.
I can’t believe some “fans” lack the basic compassion to look beyond isolated moments and see Michael’s life as a whole. It’s easy to victim-blame or shame him for certain decisions from the outside when you’ve never had to survive the circumstances he was navigating.
i cannot put into words how EXHAUSTING it is to be carrying the burden of awareness amongst a completely uncurios population. why are yall so disinterested in what’s happening around you? its a luxury i was not afforded and im bitter AS FUCK
Congratulations, you’ve now learned what an ad hominem argument is: when someone can’t address the actual point being made, so they attack your character or personal traits instead as a deflection from the claim.
I'm saying this in general but do people not realize their argument starts to become invalid when they start unnecessarily bringing up your age, your disorder, your interests, or start insulting you, or anything irrelevant that has nothing to do with the conversation???
Saying Michael should’ve “just gone to therapy” as if he automatically would’ve felt emotionally safe doing that is crazy. California had psychotherapist-patient confidentiality protections going back to 1965, and HIPAA protections applied to covered providers done by 2003. But laws can punish privacy violations, they can’t guarantee they’ll never happen. Michael lived in an environment where virtually anything connected to him had monetary value. Saying “just go to therapy” ignores how much harder it may have been for someone under that level of fame and scrutiny to trust another person with extremely private information.
I’m gonna say something super controversial in the MJ community
Michael wasn’t a 100% perfect person yes he’s innocent of course but we need to realize he also had his flaws and we all do
No body is perfect ✨
