This is why I have joined the Fulop team. He is committed to working alongside local organizers and community activists who have their finger on the pulse of the needs in our neighborhoods — people who don’t answer to party machines or bosses! The best solutions come from diversity of thought, not group think.
This coming week (Thanksgiving special) we announce more State Assembly candidates for 2025. These candidates are activists in their communities selected and interviewed by a committees of other activists. I’m not part of this process in order to find the best independent candidates - we are doing things differently.
I’m running this campaign for Governor to change NJ for the better and that means changing how politics is done up and down the ballot. Empowering people with resources to run for office that the NJ political machine has previously put obstacles in front of is key to change

This is truth eventhough prob some would say not politically good for me to point out. Think about how crazy this is and the entire dem political establishment has been silent on it. Think about this - Camden is one of the poorest cities in the country…. These allegations from the Attorney General of NJ run counter to the core mission of these organizations (NAACP to protect/advocate for minority communities and AFL-CIO to protect and advocate for labor). These allegations are from the AG so whether you agree or don’t agree they probably should be explored as serious charges
Regardless of your view how this will end. What do we know for certain - There is clear evidence that local hiring has never happened which impacts minority residents…. There is concern that tax incentives worth hundreds of millions were misappropriated that impacts working families… yet despite that the AFL CIO and NAACP say these indictments should be thrown out BEFORE a court/jury hear the facts.. it’s just strange
This is disgusting. George is disgusting. The motives of the individuals supporting him are usually easy to track bc they benefit enormously from being loyal to him.
We won’t be competing in ANY of the county conventions next year and instead will go straight to the voters. This decision is for two reasons
1) we saw firsthand how corrupt that county convention process is w/@AndyKimNJ - we saw appointed super delegates to stack the deck, proposed rule changes the day of, we saw forced public votes, we saw counties with no process… we already have the establishment of Essex, Middlesex, Mercer Counties lining up to a handpicked candidate they can control before a vote is cast or a debate happens
2) we are supporting primaries in 30+ districts (more to come) and I won’t leave any of the assembly candidates we are running with behind. We committed to share slogans and resources to change NJ. Many of the districts straddle multiple counties.
We are going straight to the voters as we have done in 2024
The insurance companies with consultants should not dictate your medical care, if should come from doctors first. The state has a lot of ability here as the regulator. This
@JonBramnick proposed law is right and @GovMurphy should push it. Banning pre-approval requirements that in recent years insurance companies have abused is the right approach.
So glad that after nearly 30 years in the same seat, @LouGreenwald suddenly cares about voter disenfranchisement. Forget the 77K votes wasted on phantom candidates. It took fair ballot design and me challenging him in the primary.
Appreciate @MattFriedmanNJ pointing out the obvious hypocrisy of the @CCDems suddenly caring about spoiler candidates when in fact they have been running phantoms in @camdencountynj Dem primary for over ten years. I crunched the numbers on how many votes were wasted/1
As Governor I’ll answer ONLY to YOU and I’ll call out BS whether coming from the democratic or Republican institution. NJ AFL-CIO leadership wrote a letter to members w/total nonsense/hypocrisy + it’s wrong. Why are they all so scared of our campaign is the better question?
A win for free speech n all anti-machine Dems up n down the state! 👏 We are Democrats. The Norcross machine does not own that word.

Want to drive down the cost of living in NJ? It starts with fair ballots, competitive elections, and candidates who don’t protect their party boss’s corporate interests.
There is a vote on Monday - Do you think NJ is expensive? The affordability crisis, the corruption tax you pay, and the ballot design discussion in Trenton are linked together + you should care about the ballot design conversation in a meaningful way. At the NJ Business forum for Gubernatorial candidates I explain why.
I am a veteran myself but support for the military should not be at the expense of the LGBTQ community (or any community). Having two democratic congressional members ( @Josh4Jersey@MikieSherrill ) from NJ being ok with voting for this bill is NOT ok. @GSEquality is correct it is a dark preview of the next 4 years.
Okay. I am reviewing the Legislature's proposed bill on ballot design, and it is not only deeply problematic, but almost certainly unlawful. Follow along here. https://t.co/KSnJ7F7XDg
Scoop: The Assembly Ballot Design Committee has drafted legislation that includes office block ballots, bracketing for running mates, shared slogans, and the option of randomizing the order of names.

This isn't hard, folks! I'm with @StevenFulop on this and so glad that we have a candidate for governor who is willing to speak candidly rather than in circles to placate their party boss.
Smoking in casinos + impact on workers is a moral issue that there is a clear right/wrong. I’m on the right side of this and of course @MikieSherrill , Josh and @SteveSweeney_NJ are on the wrong side putting the casino interests, corporate interests, and their lobbyists first. It just further highlights which candidates are running to be appendage of the lobbyists and boss system and who wants change.
The corruption tax that you pay as a NJ resident bc of ballot design should be the starting point for cost reduction. There is a system that exists where elected are not accountable to the public. So we can talk about buzz words around budget reform all day but if you aren’t willing to creat accountability with fair ballots everything else is lip service
We are running a campaign not beholden to the political machine - we are actually running a campaign to break it. Last night’s meet/greet in Teaneck talking about the future of #NJ is a another good example of what our campaign is about - we’re building a different type of campaign focused on people + not political bosses. Our campaign is focused on policy + not platitudes. Join us + volunteer at https://t.co/0gzEundi9F
