You can vehemently disagree with Palestine Action activists goals, whilst simultaneously be horrified a judge can decide AFTER a conviction if it was terrorism related amd double a sentence.
Being able to class an offense as terrorism AFTER conviction without charging them with terrorism should bother everyone.
Any protest action that is now determined as trying to "change government policy" can have this applied.
So today it's Palestine Action, but next it'll be immigration protests, farmers protests, NHS, tax etc etc.
Never forget that as Elon Musk became a trillionaire today, it is estimated that 750,000 people have died as a result of his cutting of USAID. The majority of those deaths were children.
I really donโt understand true greed. If I was worth $1 trillion, youโd have to physically stop me from solving as many of the worldโs problems as possible.
Everyone would have a home, food on the table, proper healthcare, happiness.
I just donโt get it.
Richard Burgon just exposed the most glaring double standard in British policy
"Imagine if this weekend in London there was a Russian real estate event selling Ukrainian land. The government would ban it immediately.
Instead, we have an Israeli real estate event openly advertising the illegal sale of land in occupied Palestinian territories. The government recognizes Palestine. Why isn't this banned?"
Whilst the @NHS is contemplating a ban on its staff wearing anything that shows humanitarian solidarity with Palestinians...
... it continues to be ok with employing staff who actively took part in what the UN, human rights organisations & legal scholars describe as #genocide.
Dear the BBC Politics.
I think I can safely speak for approx 89.43% of the UK population when I tell you that Zia Yusuf is not wanted on our TV screens. Again.
He's an unelected party donor using up a seat that could be offered to a credible alternative.
British woman on BBC:
"The oppression didn't start on October 7."
"You say 'Israel has the right to defend itself' โ but what about Palestine, whose land was taken? Didn't it have the right to defend itself?"
"You speak of hostages. What about the Palestinian children under rubble โ or in prisons? They are hostages too." ๐ฌ๐ง๐๏ธ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ต๐ธ๐
The real two-tier scandal in the UK is the relentless double standard approach of a media which lets one party leader get away with financial dodgery that would drive them into a frenzy if it involved someone their billionaire owners didnโt want in power because they believed in things like fairness and equality
Sarah Everard was kidnapped, raped and murdered by a WHITE Police Officer.
Nigel Farage called for calm.
But when he can use racism he calls for Cold, Hard, Rage.
Farage is sick.
He's just made an "emergency address" where he exploited the tragic death of a young person, Henry Nowak, to push his hate fuelled agenda and try to deflect from the very serious allegations of bribery and misconduct levelled against him.
Farage is scum.
