Friends, it's not always realistic to expect full agency from someone who is struggling economically. The solution is a hand-up, not to brush them off And this isn't communism or socialism, or any other ideology—this is being human The Catholic Church—besides affirming private property and private enterprise—claims moral authority over humanity and teaches that if we are easily able to help someone but don't, we are in serious error. The gifts we've received—and sometimes in abundance—are we really going to keep them for ourselves? We'd rather take another $5K/per person vacation than help our brother who is literally dying? Private property and private enterprise are meant to help us live happy and good lives, including by helping those we are easily able to

Friends, a renewed plea for charity during these times of rising prices If you're doing well, please think of your family/friends/neighbors who you think may be on the cusp If youre at 100K+, please consider foregoing luxury, even 1% for fam/friends helps. Especially if you're Christian, please try to make room for Jesus who is present in the least among us (Matthew 25:35-46) May generosity, opportunities, and gainful work flow! To think of those families working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet, to feed their children, to get medical care...
