Some Brits:
F*cking furious when a tiny part of their outgoings go to helping people fleeing other countries
Also some Brits:
Silent when a massive part of their income goes to profiteering oil companies and their shareholders

The British government has today borrowed £4bn for two years at an interest rate of 5.668% - which is, as the @ft points out, the highest interest rate is has had to pay for two-year money for almost 25 years. This is expensive money for a government whose debts are more than 100% of national income. And if the government is paying that, riskier borrowers are inevitably paying much more

Please make a note that every cowardly Tory MP who voted last night to rob millions of workers of their democratic right to strike, to force them to work against their will & see them sacked if they refuse must be voted out of office at the first opportunity
I’m trying to grow my follower count larger than Sajid Javid, because he wants NHS patients to be charged+ I spend my working life fighting against NHS privatisation🚨
Just need to find 37000 brilliant NHS supporters….
Could you possibly help by RTing this + following me?🤞💙
Quick reminder: the government has absolutely no mandate to start charging patients for NHS GP appointments or A and E attendances, or missed NHS appointments.

The NHS is the endpoint of most health problems, & delays can make them worse, but it is not the cause of them. Health is largely socially determined. To fix healthcare, we need to fix housing, heating, nutrition, sleep, stress, cruelty, education, exercise, isolation and poverty
Here is the full unedited exchange between Joan Salter, a holocaust survivor, and @SuellaBraverman, in which Ms Salter asks the home sec not to use words like “swarm” and “invasion” when talking about asylum seekers. Home sec explains her language choice https://t.co/T0VYdGWetT
Hey @SteveBarclay, I’m a doctor. Today I was the only surgical assistant for two curative mastectomies, and got home three hours after my shift finished so a third lady’s cancer curing surgery didn’t have to be postponed. I brought home <£80 post tax. Should I be working harder?
