@bertsbooks Circle of Days by Ken Follett. It’s been sitting on my shelf for ages and I started it a couple of days ago and am enjoying his story of the making of Stonehenge
@bertsbooks Just given up on Godkiller by Hannah Kaner. It’s the 2nd time I’ve tried to read it but I’m just not getting on with it. I’m looking at my tbr pile trying to find something that’ll get me back in the groove again
Been on the phone for 50 minutes with @premierinn trying to get a refund. Why does it take seconds for them to take your money and approaching an hour to get it back?
@SCutlerIFA Spare a thought too for us locals for whom normal life stops when the motorway shuts or is blocked. Local roads grind to a halt with cars looking for an alternate route
@SusanCowell My test was positive. Rapid treatment by a brilliant team killed the cancer and my life with my family can go on. That’s not a waste of money. Still, your life, your choice.
@CarlBovisNature We had a smallish bird with a butter yellow breast, a dark hood on its head and a forked tail, on the phone wires outside our house today. I looked in your book but couldn’t see anything like it? Any idea as to what it could have been?
@bertsbooks Abroad in Japan by Chris Broad. It’s the story of a young Englishman employed to teach English in an isolated Japanese town and his attempts to get a hang of the language, customs and relationships with the Japanese people he comes across. I’m really enjoying it
