In continuation of my visits to elected officials and critical stakeholders, I met today with the Member representing Kaduna South Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Hussaini Abdulkarim Kero. We had fruitful discussions on strengthening collaboration, advancing youth development, and mobilising robust support for the re-election of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani, CON, in the upcoming general elections.

Hon. Kero presented me with his candidacy nomination form. I prayed for him and wished him every success in his aspiration. I emphasised that his victory will be the victory of the good people of Kaduna South and a boost to the progressive agenda of Governor Uba Sani. We remain united and focused on delivering results for our people.

I received the representative of Teaching at the Right Level Africa (TARL Africa) on a follow-up visit to review their ongoing interventions in our Local Government. We assessed the progress made so far and discussed ways to deepen our partnership for greater impact on our people, especially in community development and empowerment programmes. This continued engagement reflects the growing confidence in Kaduna South as a reliable partner for meaningful and sustainable interventions, all thanks to the enabling environment provided by Governor @ubasanius CON.

We remain fully committed to working with credible organisations like TARL Africa to deliver real results that benefit our communities.

I met with representatives of Muje Rider, an indigenous transport service provider, who presented their ideas, activities and plans for the formal launch of their operations. This locally built transport business is set to create several direct and indirect jobs for our young people in Kaduna South and across Kaduna State at large. I encouraged them and offered advice on how to align their services with the State Development Plan and His Excellency Governor Uba Sani’s SUSTAIN Agenda, in order to build a strong and sustainable public-private partnership.

We welcome initiatives like this that empower our youth and strengthen our local economy. In Kaduna South, we will continue to support genuine businesses that create opportunities and serve our people.

Kaduna State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON (@ubasanius) has approved N4.289 billion for the payment of pensions, gratuities, and death benefits to retired civil servants and families of deceased workers at both state and local government levels.

The funds cover obligations under both the Contributory Pension Scheme and the Defined Benefit Scheme.

With this new release, the administration’s total pension-related payments now amount to N17.796 billion, benefiting over 8,344 retirees and families. The initiative is presented as part of broader reforms aimed at improving welfare, clearing backlogs, strengthening transparency, and ensuring sustainable pension management in Kaduna State.
