We have reviewed the performance of winter farming in the south east oromia zone. Although there was a significant concern over rain shortage this winter, a good performance has been recorded due to the advance preparation work done by the government and the public. In order for our economy to remain resilient and withstand both man-made and natural challenges, preparing in advance and expanding options is a must.
We applaud our Rising Lionesses for making history as the first Kenyan rugby team to win an Olympic gold medal following their thrilling 17-12 victory over Australia at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.
Your victory is a proud moment for our nation. Thank you for lifting Kenya's standing in global rugby and showing the world what our young athletes can achieve.
We wish all our athletes still competing at the games continued success. The whole nation is behind you.
Arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe, for the 25th Summit of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Heads of State and Government.

Congratulations my brother, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, on your re-election to lead Ethiopia for a second term.
Your new mandate by Ethiopia House of People's Representatives is a vote of confidence in your leadership and vision you have for your country.
I wish you continued success as you lead Ethiopia to achieve its transformation agenda.
Kenya looks forward to continuing working closely with you to advance our shared interests for the mutual benefit of our peoples, our region and the wider global community.
Every fool in the village is asking a foolish question with regard to the Dangote Refinery in Lamu...yet they all think it is a brilliant question that should elicit a response from Government. Under Article 35 of the constitution, the government has no obligation to answer foolish questions...public resources must be used wisely and for the common good.
