ESPN is missing out on a big opportunity with College Baseball. Their coverage throughout the year is pathetic; you can’t even follow the teams on the ESPN app…
The involvement and support of Brent Venables, Porter Moser, Barry Switzer, & Bob Stoops in Oklahoma’s CWS run is pretty special.
Oklahoma truly is a family; they practice what they preach.
Crazy that Oklahoma beat:
No. 1 (2x)
No. 3 (2x)
No. 4 (2x)
No. 11 (1x)
No. 13 (2x)
I understand that they went cold towards the back half of the season, but am having a hard time believing that their end of the season resume doesn’t justify a higher composite ranking…
@TommysHawk Well... that single play did not objectively win the game for Oklahoma. The out completely shifted the momentum back in OU's favor, and I believe that was the most significant play of the game.
If I would've stated my original tweet as a fact, it would've been incorrect.
@RealImJustSayin Definitely noticed it. Honestly a perfect example of a “teachable moment” for all baseball players; it’s a situation that’s always brought up but you rarely see.
@Its_Coach_Steve@NCAA Don’t disagree, there’s no excuse to poor officiating in Omaha. Personally, as a baseball player, I appreciate a tighter zone over a giant one.
Overall, I thought game 1 and 2 were way worse.
@jordannhowelll Well, if the catcher sets up on the opposite side of the plate, umpires usually don’t call a strike for a pitch on the opposite side of the zone.
Inversely, the ump yesterday would call non-strikes due to the catcher setting up where the ball was pitched.
That’s baseball.
