It's much easier to be a good a person if you are not living in India (subcontinent).

India is such a tough, toxic place to just survive (let alone prosper) that it hardens the nicest of people, it makes you callous.

Hence I have infinite respect for Indians who manage to maintain their empathy, kindness, integrity in that hellhole, because India punishes kind, empathetic, honest people.

The single biggest achievement of these student protests is that dehat has been pushed back.

Dehat had been mainstreamed so completely that it became the default setting.
