BPCL has signed two MoUs, as a part of its CSR initiatives, aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure, green spaces, heritage conservation, tourism facilities and public amenities in Varanasi. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Shri Ashok Kumar Tiwari, Mayor, Varanasi Nagar Nigam; Shri S. Rajalingam, Commissioner, Varanasi Division; and Shri Sanjay Khanna, Chairman & Managing Director, BPCL.

The first MoU was signed between BPCL, Kashi Integrated Parking & Recreational Foundation (KIPRF) and Varanasi Smart City Limited (VSCL). BPCL has pledged to redevelop and beautify 119 public parks and develop Food Street Hubs at Sarnath and Maidagin.

The second MoU was signed between BPCL and the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA). Under this MoU, BPCL will contribute towards the beautification of heritage streets and key corridors across the city.

Together, these initiatives will enhance public spaces and urban infrastructure while helping preserve and showcase the rich heritage of Varanasi.

He also appreciated BharatGas Insta, a groundbreaking innovation where LPG cylinders are dispensed just like cash from an ATM—setting new benchmarks in convenience.
At the Net Zero Pavilion, he commended BPCL’s green initiatives, including the Net Zero RO, energy production through tidal waves, and the Carbon Capture Unit, where carbon is converted into CaCO₃.
