There's a story in Paul Gillchrist's biography of the F-8 from this period. RF-8 driver Tad Riley was running from a Cuban MiG-21 at low altitude (page 77) and deliberately flew less than 10 feet above a Cuban peasant taking a piss at supersonic speed. God knows how the peasant faired. Probably broke two eardrums.
