When you're having a bad day, so you draw one of your beloved OTPs from waaaay back then. I'm still enjoying the Ranma 1/2 remake, and I still laugh from Takahashi's jokes! Of course, Happosai's introduction is problematic, so I understand how people are turned off because of him.
I'm still alive! H-how's everybody? I know I've been MIA, but that's what I get for stepping into the dating scene.
Outcome? Eh, I'll get to that later. 😅 I'll try to post silly, drawn anecdotes about it. Until then, hope you're all good!
“Why do you like Akane with Ranma so much? She’s so terrible with him!” NAW, THEY’RE BOTH DORKS FOR E/O! 😭
In the manga, out of all the possible suitors they had, they only had each other’s backs! Both clumsy, jealous, but always looking out for e/o.
ok here's a compilation of the old anime omitting ranma's jealousy over akane or making changes that downplay his feelings for her, how special she is, or how much he cares. i don't think the old show tries to say they don't have a romance, but... well 🧵
@sailorblossoms I live for your threads 😭 As a Ranma fan, I appreciate you pointing all these out! It always helps me process how magical the manga was, and the discrepancies in anime!Ranma’s character towards Akane. I hope the reboot sticks with the original.
I forgot how I color, GYAHAHAH! Ah well, still knocking out more drawings in my WIP folder! This time it's that baka and that kawaiikune girl 🙄👊💥

I decided it's time to discuss this moment. This single moment right here is what the entire series lead to.
Yes, the ENTIRE series leads to this one singular moment right here. Everything Ranma fears, loves, learned...everything is on display, and it's genius.
(Thread..🧵)
@hot_champorado Also, I loved how Takahashi balances levity and serious moments in her works, so I’m excited to see how the remake does this. So far I’m having a grand ol’ time with it all. Thanks for the thread!
@hot_champorado I absolutely love this thread! As someone who loved the manga and saw the original anime, I wondered if it was simply nostalgia that made me like the new anime.
But as you’ve pointed out, we do see Ranma’s boyishness more in the remake which I appreciate.
