People just don't understand Covid.
Boris Johnson certainly didn't.
He thought that if Covid ripped through it would kill the 'bed blockers', as in the horrific note below, and get rid of them.

"Why are we totally destroying the economy for people who will die anyway soon?"

Now, after a hundred and something million infections in the UK, waiting lists are even higher, millions more are disabled, and burden on healthcare has skyrocketed, Covid doesn't get rid of the bed blockers.
