@JoshEakle In 1939 the average man could provide a good living for his family on a single income…not so today.
Greater and freer? No.
Gayer and queerer? Yes.
More purchasing power? No.
“The honor and glory of God is very greatly augmented, if children be not only begotten, but also brought up in fear of God and knowledge of his word” (Bullinger, Decades, I:408).
The 41 PCA elders must be disciplined publicly so that other clergymen in the denomination may stand in fear. Playing the middle-ground in this scenario appeases those who oppose sound doctrine.
"As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear."

“Eve was punished not only as a human being, but particularly as mother and wife – something that reveals a divine ordinance”(Herman Bavinck, The Christian Family, p. 12).
@realmattcarr They are both men, who, not long ago, would have been considered ordinary, faithful Presbyterian pastors. It’s your excessive consumption of the wine of the age that has caused your spiritual insobriety.
Pastors will tell at length how marriage is a cross and a sanctifying kiln… until a wife must submit to a difficult husband (1 Pet 3:1–6).
Then it’s God’s will for us to be happy, the man has undermined the one-flesh union, and the woman may well have a case for departure 🙃
This is the PCA, and specifically the presbytery that was instrumental in the destruction of my first marriage. I'm not going to vow submission to a church that is in submission to this presbytery, which is subject to the PCA as a whole.
Baptists, Lutherans, Presbys, and others, persecuted and forced out of their respective denominations and churches over fake sins, are forced to band together as brothers, putting aside some of the differences, to worship Christ in spirit and truth?
This woman is obviously crazy and her husband looks miserable. This is why you have to be very careful where you go to church - crazy, unhappy wives are a loose cannon that will wreck other marriages beyond their own.
Claiming “the presbytery ruled unanimously, so any strong criticism of the elders is slander” sidesteps the real issues: Was the ruling correct, wise, and biblically grounded? Or are these men yielding to a soft gynocracy that can’t handle plain Titus 2 preaching?
Wealth has always had an obligation, to Beauty.
A working relationship with Mel Gibson, for the sake of authenticity, merit, and attention to detail, would be a good start.
And there are dozens of good directors, who have been neglected by the Studios, or purposefully kept away from telling the serious stories of the West.
I suggest you invest, for the long-term, into the real deal, at that is people, telling the stories of their ancestors. This keeps the human Craft, alive.
We'll be waiting.
