Rather than troubleshoot and repair my broken NES I bought an #Opentendo board, bought new components (besides CPU, PPU, crystal) and recapped the power supply. Bloody thing booted up first time. I'm absolutely stunned that I managed this. I owe it all to @Voultar's teachings.
@S0N1Cua@CoconutTwitch It'll be the same as every other popular electronic device these days - completely unavailable at launch, scalped to high heaven and then finally underwhelming.
Bumpgate repair. Bought these Gigabyte 9800 GTX’s as a pair - one working, one with massive artifacting that crashed on load. Heated the GPU die with heatgun, artifacts fixed but still unstable. Heated the whole card in an oven (lol) for 2 minutes. Now 3DMark 06 stable.
I genuinely think that AI is for idiots. It is for people who mindlessly consume things that look flashy and require no critical thinking. This clip is shit and makes no sense, but that's exactly why AI consumers love it. Stupid shit for stupid people.
@S0N1Cua What speed RAM you got in there? I only have 800 MHz. I think the only faster clocked CPU I have available is an E7500 at 2.93GHz. Could be worth me testing that. :)
@S0N1Cua Same motherboard and GPU as my XP x64 machine :) I have a Q6600 in mine, will run 3DMark 06 to compare. I expect the faster FSB on the dual-core Wolfdale probably yields higher scores 🤔
