I've just arrived home after my first #vBSDCon. It was awesome being a first-time speaker at a BSD conference and I got some great comments and feedback. I learned so much and even got to answer some other's questions. Thanks so much to @VERISIGN and @DLangille and the team!
Looks like a great time was had by all at #vBSDCon. The #FreeBSD Foundation was pleased to sponsor the tote bags this year. Thank you to @VERISIGN, @DLangille and the rest of the organizers for putting together such an excellent event.
Thanks to @DLangille and @VERISIGN for a wonderful #vBSDCon. This was my first time in the DC area; it's always great to meet a segment of the BSD community who don't make it out to the other conferences I attend.
@bdowns328@FreeBSDHelp Firefox users should raise an unholy fuss with Mozilla and get them to not do this. It might be worth packagers taking a stand as well. @paulvixie gave a great keynote about the dangers of DoH (DNS over HTTPS) at #vBSDCon on Friday. Video on youtube soon-ish.
@mwlauthor I donated it to the charity auction w/ an ok from @mwlauthor to scribe a message of the winner’s choosing (thanks to @DLangille for that idea).
Despite valiant efforts on Michael’s part to buy it himself, sold for $70 to a (un)lucky attendee! Proceeds to the Shriners.

The #vBSDCon 2019 charity auction raised $402 (thank you).
That amount will be sent to Shriners Hospitals (@shrinershosp). A receipt will be posted shortly thereafter.
@DLangille Sitting down to try to move ports from #FreeBSD to #OpenBSD and this information is important to highlight all that is the same but different #vBSDCon.
Really appreciated the presentation (style & formatting) of the presentation by @DavieDavieDave at #vBSDcon
I know from a conference I presented at earlier this year that it’s hard to have great content and make it look good as well.
Good story and lessons learned
