“We have firefighters that have been at the station & are being mandatorily held for 3 and 4 days at a time. We have apparatus that are being browned out on a weekly, if not daily basis. This staffing crisis has been here before COVID,” says Marty Lancton @FirefightersHOU#KHOU11

We win again! The 14th State Court of Appeals ruled this morning that Proposition B is constitutional. It is time to move forward and get Houston firefighters the pay they have earned and deserve.

This afternoon, I laid out House Bill 2087 before the Committee on Urban Affairs. HB 2087 allows the Houston Firefighters and the City of Houston to reach a contractual agreement and mediate any issues that may arise between the two parties through mandatory arbitration. #txlege
72% of State Rep Ana Hernandez district showed support for Houston firefighters. Call Rep Hernandez 512-463-0614 and urge her to move HB 2087 out of calendars committee.Binding arbitration is cost-effective way to resolve disputes.
Rep Hernandez support our firefighters
It has been a very difficult year for so many. We lay to rest Sharon Campbell today. Wife of former HFD Assistant Chief Roger Campbell and mother to our brother DIstrict Chief and Local 341 Director Jimmy Campbell. God bless the Campbell family.
SAYING GOODBYE 🙏 Houston firefighters and paramedics march in honor of late veteran Jerry Pacheco, who is the second HFD member to lose his life to the coronavirus.
The crew of 80Fox was honored to pay tribute to Houston Firefighter Jerry Pacheco with a flyover during his funeral service. May he Rest In Peace and God bless those in mourning. @FireChiefofHFD @HoustonFire@FirefightersHOU
