1/Been struggling for a few weeks with whether or not vroom is the dumbest valuation I have ever seen. This is a high hurdle to reach here's the facts
8 billion market cap
It's one used car dealership in houston
Their inventory of honda fit's is 1/4 that of my local honda dealer
@gtmom@ByrneHobart They were recently gifted 5 million dollars to build out a contest for 3-5 grade but I listened to the CEO speak about how it was going to have to be math puzzle questions and gamified because quizzing elementary school kids on their times tables is apparently racist or somtheing
@SciInTheMaking@redlight516 Nah no chance he's setting up his own school. You folks must have been living under a boulder the past couple of weeks. This is clearly setting up a marketing campaign/partnership with Alpha school.
@Anarseldain Eh, didn't one of the previous heads of gaming never hear of halo before? It's not a new thing that msft management is a disaster. Decades ago they would just hire whoever was willing to blow Bill Gates.
@buccocapital Whatever is damaging their TAM it's definitely not the 400 AI videos of cars sliding uphill in "icy conditions" that I was served last week when I logged in.
@eric_is_weird MIT Presidency would still be the best job in American science if they hired a scientist or an engineer from MIT to do it. Instead it's been a string of ladder climbing higher education bureaucrats (often from safety schools) that don't carry batteries.
@muddywatersre I am mildly concerned though that the paper straw nonsense has already died and instead of shooting it's corpse in the head this action by Trump will cause TDS cafe owners to buy paper straws in protest and my mouth will get caught in the crossfire.
@starsandrobots Performative environmentalism.
They could give you a lid with surface area π*r^2 with a hole cut out of it to drink out of.
Instead they give you half a sphere (4πr^2)/2 which is literally DOUBLE the surface area. With a hole for a paper straw that turns to mush in 30 seconds.
@MikeMarkz@muddywatersre Funny enough I've got a timestamp from the economist from when they pivoted from straws back to meat is bead.

@innoc_bystander Does this mean we've gone back to arguing about meat now that the Great Straw Panic of the past few summers is over?

@DinosaurDenier@quantian1 I don't know a single farmer that doesn't know about the usda high tunnel program. How could he have not laughed on site at the apph ipo valuation is so bizarre. A finance background + a skeptics demeanor + owning a farm should have guaranteed it.

@muddywatersre@ScorpionFund Scorpion always knows it's just that there's only like a dozen people that read past page 10 let alone the handful of us that read all the way to page 366...

@StockSavvyShay@ScorpionFund Scorpion? The dude that publishes meticulous 250 page reports? You're accusing them of not providing enough details? Scorpions average reports are an order of magnitude longer anyone else's. You must be a next level retard to come up with that thought. Jeez.
@ROIChristie@bennpeifert It's 2020, a 4-monitor desk shot with 4 non matching monitors most recently would have qualified as a humble brag at best a decade ago.
