@TheLancet@EASLnews second Liver Commission report is online. What a tremendous team effort. A roadmap for health, far beyond that pertaining to liver disease. https://t.co/BmbXpfp9Pv
PSC is rare, progressive, and still without an effective medical therapy. Our UEG online course, led by Johannes Hov & Trine Folseraas, covers the essentials of PSC – from bile duct inflammation & fibrosis to its links with IBD & cancer risk.

@ebtapper I do not think any observational artificial sweetener studies are trustworthy. They typically pile together highly different molecules like aspartam, saccharine, sugar alcohols - observing effects - highly suggestive of a confounder related to the intake of sweeteners?
@ebtapper I think it mainly shows that the vast majority of Mendelian randomization studies are absolute nonsense and violate the underlying assumptions. While genetic susceptibility to infection is repeatedly observed - a philosophical q if you only blame the attacker or also the host…?
Very happy to announce that our PSC study is now online at Nature Medicine (https://t.co/ZMk4QEVtC9). Great work team! @miGutHealth@DFG_miTarget@BioInfoGen1

Fantastic to get a new ERC grant! Why is IBD associated with both PSC and steatosis? In the #ERCCoG project #FatVersusBile we will use IBD as a window to the microbial signals from the gut that shape liver health. Exciting days! @ERC_Research@RIIM_UiO_OUS@UniOslo_MED@erc_ncp
🧐 Did you know that smoking & coffee may actually lower the risk of developing Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)? While genetics play a role, environmental factors have an even greater impact on this disease. 📢 Learn more & enrol in the #UEGEdu course https://t.co/ixY3PLDAR9
Happy to be in Stockholm for the #ipscsg biennial meeting - and listen to a great talk from @KatrineTer about her work on biomarkers in recurrent PSC @Melum_E
Discover the essentials of #PrimarySclerosingCholangitis in our new online course by Johannes Hov and Trine Folseraas! Learn about this chronic liver disease, its link to inflammatory bowel disease, & its management.

Annual research retreat of the Norwegian PSC research center. Such a great team on a dedicated mission to resolve a remaining mystery of hepatology. @PSCPartners
Great start in this year! Big congrats to @Weifeng_Lin13 for his publication in @angew_chem detailing our newly developed chemoselective probe for bifunctional mass spec investigation of carboxylic acid- & carbonyl-containing metabolites in human samples.
