I always feared that the welcome reform to elect Convenors of Scottish Parliament Committees would fall victim to party political stitch ups. This is what used to happen. However, by requiring elections with candidates needing a seconder from another party, I thought this would improve matters. A number of contenders could seek support from as MSP from another party. However, it appears that the opportunity for some democracy and transparency has been lost. Why? 1/2
I remain concerned that Scottish Parliamentary procedures enabled and continue to enable the election of Convenors and Deputy Convenors from the same party for Parliamentary Committees. Given there was no scrutiny of this motion in Parliament, I have written to all members of the Parliamentary Bureau seeking answers as to how they came to agree this proposal. I will publish responses here.
Just re-upping this after listening Ross Greer on Radio Scotland. He showed remarkably little concern for Scottish Green Party members who may have contributed to the ‘ring-fenced’ indyref fund. His ‘independent review’ would not have power to compel witnesses or other evidence.
4. Howard Beckett and Jennie Formby organised this this letter smearing the Labour leadership
They cast around for the corrupt and the useless idiots.
Clive Lewis was one of the useless idiots.

Keep going. Delighted to see your letters to Crown Office & Police Scotland were informed by independent legal advice from the Dean of the Faculty of Advocates. We need more transparency of decision-making in Scotland. If it takes legal action or a Westminster inquiry so be it.
‘But in the Sturgeon era, lying with absolute confidence was routine … You think the paper trail of promises and lies and false statements and conflicting stories is at an end? This has a long way to run still’ 👇🏼

Here’s Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney saying that the Scottish voters backed his ‘integrity’. Yet the court hearing for former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell was postponed from 20 February 2026 until 25 May 2026 - after the Scottish election.
Noticing lots of ‘triggered’ grifters playing the same ‘misogyny’ card over Sturgeon, all desperately trying to stop the press from digging any further?
Similar tactics were used in the past. In fact, word for word similar …
Nothing corrupts like absolute power the SNP government’s fingers prints are all over this. O what a tangle web they weave when they conspire to deceive.
Sean Clerkin noticed. Wings over Scotland noticed. I noticed. Joanna Cherry noticed. Three members of the SNP's finance & audit cmtee noticed. Chapman noticed.
But not Messers Swinney, Sturgeon, Oswalt et al. Move along. Legal chapter closed, no need for political reckoning
🚨As Kelly points out... Nicola has gone with "grace". No Drama. No Scandal. Just a wee police probe, a husband jailed for embezzling hundreds of thousands, the campervan, The fear of kitchens and the SNP imploding like a cheap firework!! Pure class. Breath of fresh air. 👏😜
Two very important questions here, asked by @BBCJamesCook and @simon_telegraph after FMQs on Thursday, and John Swinney has no answers, only evasions. The chicanery continues. This should be getting much more attention.
I just doubled my monthly donation to the @theSNP https://t.co/qvosSOkRSa
This week’s vitriolic attacks has doubled the need to get our independence now, more than ever before.
These people despise Scotland and our party and the Independence Movement.
So let’s get to hell out!
Imagine if Starmer’s wife was the Labour Party CEO and pleaded guilty to embezzlement of party funds?
Do you think the holier-than-thou hypocrite Swinney would be demanding a full public inquiry? Mmmm let me think… 🤔
Personally, I think what we’re seeing now is the real Nicola Sturgeon - a woman who thinks she can spin any old yarn because us dumplings are too thick to spot the discrepancies. They walk amongst us …
Aamer Anwar decribed Nicola Sturgeon as a “master of spin”, questioned her honesty, criticised deleted WhatsApps and torched her reputation.
Now he’s defending her integrity.
Even Netflix writers would reject that script for being too unbelievable.

We now know that Sturgeon's husband spent £24,000 (stolen from SNP supporters) at Montblanc.
And at least 2 of Sturgeon's pens used in parliament were the same models he bought.
Were they bought with stolen cash ? If so, they should be seized using proceeds of crime laws.

I was a police officer for 30 years.
The idea that someone can claim to be "fully cooperating" with an investigation by choosing not to answer any questions is as preposterous as putting rapists in women's prisons.
