@ModernMilkman_
My last week’s deliveries have all been missed but you’ve taken my money. What’s going on? No answer from the chat function and no phone number.
@natprocyshyn The weaponisation if the Datix and similar systems by bullies has been a problem for years.
I have always found the best response when faced with such a situation is to welcome it, offer to counter sign it and then badger the person to get it done until it is.
Next time you are going to the fuel station you may wish to chose who you buy your fuel from by considering how BP is responding in the Russian invasion of Ukraine
BP has a 20% stake in the Russian oil giant, Rosneft. They have not yet moved to offload that interest.
@coffeeheadaches Perhaps it’s in part down to the pressures and expectations piled upon us all by HMG and our society. I have never worked in a war zone or similar but find it unlikely that the patient population (as a body) has levels of expectation and demand that the NHS attracts?
@FrankCoffey26 I can’t fault the sentiment but If anyone thinks a GP had any way of finding out the wait time in ED that won’t have a negative impact in both GP and ED teams (time/capacity) maybe you’re in the wrong job. A more transparent system is needed from the ground up to make this work.
@coffeeheadaches @pkonline84 I was describing the argument not the person. I would struggle to call a trad climber pathetic!
But sorry - The argument is as described because GP is full. Sending patients needlessly to GP simply perpetuates the cycle of patients to ED as they can’t get an appointment.
@CookieRose111 @pkonline84 This is the case but is a little bit like blaming the bucket for overflowing when trying to use it to empty a river in a downpour.
@coffeeheadaches @pkonline84 20-30 minutes? You are put upon aren’t you? That timeframe doesn’t even scratch the surface of workload dumps into GP
And if the ‘claim’ is accurate it’s probably because the GP is tied up doing sick notes that someone else could have issued. I say again: short sighted.
@coffeeheadaches @pkonline84 You are hugely over generalising and/or making yourself look clinically incompetent because this is simply not true for a vast number of cases.
@DocOnSkis @emergprehosp @pkonline84 Thank you for this useful and important tweet. It’s great to see someone working in a way that supports the patient experience and their colleagues. Thank
you again for being a true professional.
@HenriettaMk@DocOnSkis @emergprehosp @pkonline84 It is if they are clinically likely to be unable to work for more than 7 days. Unless you believe the doctors in ED are so incompetent they can’t make that judgement call. Which is rather a sad state of affairs.
@emergprehosp @pkonline84 What an sadly unprofessional and pathetically self serving tweet. How very disappointing for your patients, your colleagues, and you.
@SteelCity_ENT * in happier times this entirely unprofessional and pathetic jibe at GP would be merely a symptom of your ignorant attitude. Sadly in these less happy times it is another chip out of GP, and in turn the NHS. Well done Mr P your contribution to the end of the NHS is noted.
