@dysclinic This is great! We are getting closer to the realization that orthostatic tolerance/pots and MECFS both are very frequent in patients with connective tissue disorders. They are likely part of the same disorder, looked at from different perspective.
@oxford_eliza I believe that having content for cardiologists would help them understand more, and certainly help the patients.
Where did you send the text message?
@oxford_eliza Thanks so much! There was a great response from the audience but most cardiologists don’t understand POTS. I proposed starting an Autonomic division of the American College of Cardiology, and I have started the process.

I would only say that as an autonomic cardiologist , many cardiologists do not know how to interpret tilt tests. When possible, it is important to review the raw data . I have seen many interpretations that are incorrect on tilt tests performed by cardiologists with both undercall and overcall.
@BluesteinLinda Most patients tell me that the rheumatologists who see them don’t “believe” in EDS. I tell them it is not a religion. We need EDS specialists.
@Dysautonomia Funny post!
However, in reality beta blockers are about the 4th line of therapy and I find atenolol to be one of the least effective of the beta blockers.
