All u gotta do is get so deviously betrayed and bamboozled 1 time in ur life of purity to change the entire trajectory of ur relationships to any human ever
I always laugh when everyone is like, “Has anyone else noticed people have changed? Like, people aren’t behaving normally, they can’t remember anything, their personalities are changing, & they simply aren’t working right…what is that?”
Oh my sweet summer children…
i often hear that autistic people can’t lie, but i definitely can. what i struggle with is insincerity. i can lie if i have to, but i can’t fake enthusiasm, gush over someone i don’t feel strongly about, or act like we’re best friends when we barely know each other. sometimes it feels like genuine enthusiasm, effortless social warmth, and pretending everyone is closer than they really are are basically the currency of the neurotypical world.
nobody likes you when you're depressed.
plain and simple. we can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. they see you as negative, a burden and someone too heavy to handle.
@sarky_sheena More like they went home and were like, “I HAVE ARRIVED AT MY DESTINY! ALL OF MY FOREFATHERS NEIGH DOWN AT ME WITH PRIDE FROM GREAT HAY FIELD IN THE SKY!”
@softrebellionnn@KaylarWill@LesediHer That says nothing about their capacity to figure it out. And often, visibly giving genuine effort is enough to let the other person know it’s worth it to keep waiting for you to get there.
It’s kinda funny to me that I found out I was being abused via book club. Book had a warning for child abuse at the start but I read it and couldn’t find it. Brought it up at book club and people quickly went “obviously the XYZ scenes?!” And suddenly it clicked.
