Today during their distributions in Jabalia, The Sameer Project filmed the transfer of a woman who got injured after a wall fell on her. Half-demolished homes in Gaza are unsafe but unfortunately people don’t have a choice and live in them despite the dangers.
The woman was transferred to Al Shifa Hospital in critical condition, we pray for her recovery. This is one of dozens of cases where people were killed or severely injured from homes collapsing on them. No caravans or rebuilding material is allowed in.
The military occupation is slowly killing Palestinians in Gaza, and the world has turned a blind eye. Cases like this woman are not mentioned anywhere, Palestinian lives are cheap and irrelevant. May God protect our people in Gaza.

One paper lists what is needed between life and death. The Sameer Project team gets hundreds of prescriptions per week and people pleading for support with medication. Please help here: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
The borders allow in a small amount of commercial trucks and even less aid trucks. So medication is in fact getting in but at high prices that most people can’t afford.
The Sameer Project medical teams consists of doctors, nurses and pharmacists who do their best to serve our community in Gaza. However, our medical work will start to get reduced to the lack of funds. Again, a prescription is the difference between life and death, and our hearts are sinking at the idea that we might not be able to support with that.

Mueen is only 6 years old but 80% of his body is covered in burns. The high temperatures in Gaza are agitating him and causing him to constantly scratch. Life in tents doesn’t cater for medical cases like Mueen.
Gaza needs your help: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
The genocide in Gaza didn’t end and the most vulnerable are paying the price. Access to proper medical care is not available and the living conditions are horrific.
Mueen was filmed on June 9th during our food distribution in Sahat Al Azhar Camp in Gaza City. The Sameer Project gave out 500 meals of rice and vegetables that cost around $823 and that includes 11% commission.

Algae filled and punctured jerrycans are a huge challenge for families in Gaza. One jerrycan costs $8.50 to $14, depending on the size - a price that most people wouldn’t be able to afford. Contribute now: https://t.co/1j2S3RoAgU
The Sameer Project team replaced the worst jerrycans for 50 families on June 4th during our water distributions. We filled the new jerrycans with water and gave it to the families to help avoid the water becoming contaminated in the old ones.
Total cost for 50 jerrycans was $411 with 11% commission. For $8.50 you can help provide cleaner water to a family in Gaza. A small amount that can be transformative for a whole family.

A huge concern reported to us in certain camps by our medical committee has been the need for hygiene products. So many of the outbreaks of diseases are related to the lack of cleaning items. Donate now: https://t.co/1j2S3RoAgU
On June 6th, The Sameer Project went to Sina’a and Rahma Camp in Gaza City, a highly underserved camp. We gave out 65 hygiene packages for $2,700, including the 11% commission.
Each package included four bars of soap, deodorant, two tissue boxes, a broom, bleach, detergent, shampoo and dishwashing liquid. These are essential items that most people in Gaza can’t afford.

Pre-genocide, patients with chronic illnesses would get their monthly fill from UNRWA but now that’s not possible for many. Abrupt cessation of medication could trigger intense symptoms and lead to fatal complications. This is why The Sameer Project does regular chronic illnesses days in certain camps, support now: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
The shortages in medications is a huge issue that everyone faces. In collaboration with MSF, we get some medications for free but we still have to purchase a bulk of meds for our mobile days. The typical day costs around $1,500 including commissions.
On June 3rd, The Sameer Project team visited Ansar 4 Camp in Gaza City where our doctor and nurse served 70 patients with chronic illnesses. These camps are chosen after being assessed by our medical committee.

The Australian Government wants credit for funding peace.
But there can be no peace while Palestinians are being bombed with weapons supplied through global military supply chains that include Australian-made components.
It's time for accountability.
End military complicity.
Sanction those responsible.
Stop treating Palestinian lives as expendable.
Peace requires justice.
Accountability requires action.
Take action. Link in bio.
Amnesty International has accused Israel’s government of carrying out a campaign of “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and annexing their territory.

On April 14-15, 2024, Israeli quadcopters circled around the Nuseirat refugee camp playing recordings of crying infants to lure concerned refugees into death traps.
When Palestinians went outside looking for the crying babies, the quadcopters shot at them:
"We heard the voices of girls and women screaming: 'Come, help me, I am injured!'
We went out to find out what was happening… and we were directly targeted by a quadcopter drone."
Now Israel is applying its perfidious criminal acts in Lebanon just as it did Gaza: https://t.co/KTMepbTPNr
While attention is again focused on Iran, a major shift is unfolding in the West Bank. For the first time since the Oslo Accords, Palestinians are being expelled from Area A, under PA administration. The IDF is seizing land near Jenin to build a military base. Why it matters 🧵
🚨🚨 500,000 meals STOPPED overnight for Palestinians in Gaza 🚨🚨
Help provide food: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
The Sameer Project visited some camps where community kitchens stopped delivering food and found the families struggling. Most Palestinians in Gaza rely on community kitchens for survival, and when international organizations cut down the amounts of food, hundreds of thousands were severely impacted.
The Sameer Project kitchen can make 3,000 meals a day but we cut that down to 1,500 meals. We also switched from meat meals to meatless meals last week due to lack of funds. The drop in donations means a drop in lifesaving services provided.
We can’t stress enough the importance of your material support during this time. Palestinians in Gaza are being killed slowly with no end in sight.

No words are left to describe the struggle of Palestinians in Gaza. Family members wake up with dawn and each person, child or adult, goes to seek food or water or simply a bag of bread. Each journey takes hours to secure a small amount of food or water and sometimes nothing is secured.
Support Gaza here: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
The Sameer Project kitchen provides food daily that we drop to camps, tent by tent, so that families don’t have to queue. On June 6th, we gave out 465 mujaddara (lentils and rice) meals to Girls Shelter in Tal Al Hawa and 75 of those were for cleaning workers. The meals cost $913 with 11% commission.
Food is becoming more and more scarce in Gaza and The Sameer Project reduced meals per day to 1,500 and also stopped providing meat. This is due to lack of funds.

An opportunity to work, to earn a living, to provide for one’s families, and to build a future through individual efforts - that’s what Palestinians in Gaza want.
Help Gaza now: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
Before the genocide, Fares was working toward that future. Like countless others across Gaza, he had ambitions, responsibilities, and a role in his community. Today, he finds himself unemployed, not because he lacks the desire to work, but because bombings have destroyed the economy, eliminated jobs, depleted savings, and interrupted the education and training that many young people were pursuing to become integral members of society.
The destruction extends far beyond buildings. It has stripped families of their ability to support themselves. Parents who once provided for their children now spend their days searching for food. Young people who were preparing for careers are instead struggling to survive another day.
This is why food distributions remain so essential, and on June 1, Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project provided 465 mortadella sandwiches to families in the Muadh bin Jabal and Al-Karama areas, in Northern Gaza. The total cost after 11% commission was $1,246.

Community kitchens are halting in Gaza and families are panicking. Most Palestinians in displacement camps rely on community kitchens for survival. Help now: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
On May 2nd, the Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project team gave out 545 liver sandwiches to the Ekhwa Camp in Zawayde and the civil defense team in South Gaza. Total cost with 11% commission was around $1,265.
The Sameer Project decided to make meatless meals due to lacks of funds. This will include burgul, rice with vegetables and mujjadara (lentils and rice). We wish we could maintain protein-filled nourishing meals but we aren’t able to sustain that right now.

Famine alarms are ringing in Gaza as international organizations reduced food distributions significantly over the last couple of weeks. Panic is widespread in the Strip as people can’t secure one meal a day anymore. Please help now: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
The famine in Gaza never ended with the “ceasefire,” in fact it was re-engineered where minimal trucks come in with commercial goods sold at high prices. Junk food like chocolate, biscuits and instant noodles occupy the majority of those trucks so that’s what people can’t secure mostly afford. Empty calories causing weight gain but no nourishment.
The Sameer Project opened a bakery in Gaza City two months ago and provides bread daily for free. We go to camps ourselves and distribute them so people don’t have to queue for hours.
On June 2nd, The Sameer Project gave out 288 bags of bread to Zahrat Al Madaen and Karama Camps in Bureij and Mariam Camp in Nuseirat. The cost for the bread was $457, including the 11% commission.

The lack of funds didn’t allow us to Eid clothes distributions last week but our partner at Small Steps Project (@smallstepsdocs) funded shoes distributions!
Help fund shoes: https://t.co/1j2S3RoAgU
Around a month ago, The Sameer Project filmed a boy in Beit Lahia using tin cans to walk on rubble. The video went viral because it showed the lengths people go to due to the lack of most basic goods.
The Sameer Project went to the camp where this kids lives, Salateen Camp in Beit Lahia, and provided 149 pairs of shoes for all the kids living there. Each shoe cost around $12.60 so the total for all shoes was $1882. This includes 11% commission.
