"My name is Ounkham. I am a laboratory health officer in Bolikhan district, supporting and working together with the HPP project team in the field.
In our Food Security and Nutrition project in Khammouan the objective is to increase nutrition and fight malnutrition and stunting. One of the activities is animal pass-on-loans which started in December 2019. Members of the 100 Farmers' Clubs have received 8,500 animals.
Last week CHIas and HPP Laos organized a consultation meeting with government partners on the preparation of a memorandum of understanding for a new TC TB project funded by French Expertise 5% Initiative. The project will start in 2020 and continue for three years.

In the Farmers' Club in Khammuane, HUMANA FPP trained 1 #veterinarian per village. This veterinarian takes after animal health in the village. Animal vaccination is given at a regular basic base on the type of #animal vaccination and the schedule.
Ms. Somsamut lives in Muang Doi village, a family of 6 members with a malnourished child under 5 years old, so that the family has the opportunity to get 5 ducks from the Improve Food and Nutrition Security Project which implemented by FPP and HPA, she has bought 5 more ducks.
Our #TB project is making good progress, as was just concluded at a quarterly meeting with province and district authorities from Pakxan, Pakkading and Bolikhan in Bolikhamxay. To date, 86 TB cases have been identified and supported to access and sustain treatment #TBfreelaos
