@mrjamesob your producer cut me off. But I was calling to advise that Sian Beilock is the pre-eminent researcher in the area of maths anxiety and maths achievement. I’m not aware that she’s ever mentioned biology being a factor.
@MatthewStadlen I got it this week for this first time. The morning of a planned flight for my first holiday in 3 years. Triple jabbed. Horrible symptoms. I sense complacency in society.
Michael Fabricant talking to @ShelaghFogarty on @LBC, defending BJ on the basis that the party constituted ‘closed mixing’ appears to be demonstrating world class cognitive dissonance.
@TheDogFather96 @ktebailey @SholaMos1@IainDale@LBC Agree with you. The irony is he espouses the importance of critical thinking but doesn’t much engage in it himself. And is aggressive towards anyone who challenges him.
@amolrajan brilliant interview with Raab this morning. I laughed out loud when you said “all that went through your mind” in response to his answer to your first question.
@Josephineperry@aeonmag Completely share your perspective on Mental Toughness. It's a dodgy construct which is accepted uncritically by too many...even scholars in this field.
@dgurdasani1 I caught a little of your interview on @DavidLammy show where I think you argued that evidence supports efficacy of mask wearing. @MaajidNawaz argued the opposite in the previous show. Please can you point me in the direction of research I can read?
@Neuro_Skeptic I think would help if you define your terms. Especially talent. I suspect you conceptualise talent as innate gifts. But talent researchers don’t all see it that way - many see talent as a process.
