@TechNinjaTodd Work on understanding chronic absentees. Absences are just the symptom of so many deeper problems that are real challenges for kids and families. Digging in to look honestly and regularly at all kids with more than 10% absences gives an opportunity to help support.
@TechNinjaTodd Yes, absolutely! But it's hard.
#1) Perfect attendance is silly standard for anyone. And celebrating it after the fact doesn't make it happen.
#2) Work on understanding real barriers to attendance.
#3) Work on attendance class by class. Teachers make the biggest difference.
U2's lyrics have always read to me like lament. "And underneath lament, there’s always a certain kind of hope." Bono: “Behind lament lurks hope. Yeah, grief becomes a kind of invocation, doesn’t it? A prayer to be filled?” https://t.co/5KbqS1ACXI
Our thoughts are with Derek Redmond and his family following the death of his father, Jim.
Together, they brought us one of the most inspirational moments in Olympic history. ❤️
Why we do what we do in early literacy.
And great practical ways to build content knowledge.

Near home. Scary and sad for the people in Weed and #SiskiyouCounty. Rugged territory between Callahan and Gazelle. Thanks to the fire crews working both of these fires. #mountainfire#millfire

I love this little backstory. Like so many #dreamers I know. Is it the way things should work? Absolutely not! But he, and so many others, have made the most of their situation. https://t.co/k8GagRBWRA
"How can I consistently confer/get into classrooms/read/write?"

What a privilege getting to spend the day seeing the work of @CCIdaho and the amazing stories of these brave men and women. They bring so much to America and to Idaho.
Don't miss this story, it's a really good one. Maybe I teared up, maybe it was allergies. Thankful for @CCIdaho and all the partners, volunteers and new community members in Pocatello.
