Pale Blue Dot is a photo of Earth that was taken by the Voyager 1 space probe in 1990 from a distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles) as it was leaving our solar system. This is what Carl Sagan said about the photo:
"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor, and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar,' every 'supreme leader,' every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

@Shreya_Paudel There is a narrative in the US/Canada that employers are not finding people to hire and labor market is hot. Even central banks are considering this on their rate hike decisions. The fact is those that are not paying living wage are not finding people to hire.
@Shreya_Paudel Some states (eg CO, NY etc) in the US have passed legislation requiring employers to disclose the salary range include the salary range in the job posting. That’s the way to go. Transparency is important.
Before his final game, in Oct 1977 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., Pelé took the microphone at the center of the field, his father and Muhammad Ali beside him, and exhorted a crowd of more than 75,000 “Say with me three times, for the kids: Love! Love! Love!” 🇧🇷🐐👑

Well, Ontarians were more obsessed with building a highway through Greenbelt protected area than saving Healthcare. Healthcare was not discussed enough and put on the ballot in the last Provincial election in June 2022, as wished by @fordnation. Here we are in a deep crisis.
NEW: How much are Ontario hospitals spending on temp agency nurses as they grapple with staffing shortages?
Last yr @UHN spent $6.7M, ~550% more than pre-pandemic years. @Sunnybrook last year spent $8.2M, up from $4.5M in 2018.

London's hospital czar was paid $674,219 - a 37% hike - the disclosure coming days after hospitals cut 189 jobs to save $18.4 million.
Hospital boards backed the boost, saying a premium was needed to manage two hospitals.
Breaking news? Hardly. That’s what I wrote in 1997.

Sharing trial results with ppts should be the norm - the least we can do given trials wouldn't be possible without them. Some other headlines on why I think sharing trial results with participants is important and links to some of our and others research on this topic here 👇🏼
