@2hot2k We are currently working through the applications on a first-come, first-served basis from December, and once we are caught up with the current backlog we expect to be able to respond to application inquiries with much quicker turnaround times regularly going forward.
@2hot2k Hi Andrew,
In December 2022, when we advertised the fund, we received 700 applications, and are now up to almost 1500 applications that must be reviewed and adjudicated for eligibility.
We welcome the momentous news that Dr. Brian Day and Cambie Surgeries Corporation’s assault on the public health care system in British Columbia has reached the end of the legal road, ensuring access to health care will continue to be based on need and not on ability to pay.
1/4 The @SCC_eng dismissed Cambie’s case. This decision upholds the BC Supreme Court and BC Court of Appeal judgements which found that the evidence before the court showed that a duplicative private-pay health care system would increase wait times in the public system #cdnpoli
Highlights of the contract include a general wage increase of about 12-14% over three years for all members, plus additional increases for most members based on a review of all classifications over this period. The general wage increase is retroactive to April 1, 2022.

HSA President @kanetse “HSA went to the bargaining table w/strong direction from members to address wages that have fallen behind and seek meaningful recruitment and retention strategies to address crushing workloads. This contract delivers on those priorities."
@nogoodrefs Hi James, that is simply not accurate. What you've shared is essentially a housekeeping change that modernizes contract language -- we don't use "clusters" or "CHCs" any more in BC.
Our own Norah Miner was on @CBCOnTheCoast to talk about BC's dire shortage of health sciences professionals and how government can start to solve this problem.

@nogoodrefs@CBCOnTheCoast James, I'm not sure what you're talking about but you're welcome to contact us by email at info @ https://t.co/9hSnhI6bkq and we'll try to assist.
We stand in solidarity with CUPE OBSCU workers who seek only fair pay for the hard work they do delivering critical work in Ontario’s schools #canlab
