Another busy, but fun, week in 1st grade! We worked in groups to find the differences between fiction and non fiction, explored weight, were visited by guest readers, and enjoyed two amazing Somali musicians.

Global Day of Play was a success! By far one of my favorite days of the year so far! #GlobalSchoolPlayDay #letthembelittle #learningthroughplay

This is one of the many reasons I LOVE my sweet first graders - they encourage each other to be better every day. When two friends said they wanted to be faster, one friend decided to be their coach and train them during “choice time” each day. #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork

Teachers if you need some perspective on your work/ life balance just remember if something happened to you, you would be replaced quickly at work, but you are irreplaceable to your family and friends.
